The Handy Prop is the creation of Justin Hanson and Eddy Messer. Justin, a professional painter for ten years, and Eddy, a drywall taper for 26 years, met on the job and began discussing over a lunch break what eventually became the Handy Prop. Shortly thereafter, the two formed Lodestar Joint Ventures, LLC, to pursue research and development of the ingenious new device, the Handy Prop.

Three years later, after testing numerous designs made from both metal and plastic, the lightweight, molded design was finalized and sent to manufacture. Since then, contractors and layman alike have been overwhelmingly amazed and satisfied with the utility of this revolutionary new product.
